May 2018 – continuing (6 years +)

Taught courses various EEE and CSE courses such as Web Technology, Design and Engineering Economics to over 1800 students so far. In addition, judged final year capstone projects in panel. Performed as coordinator for the faculty of Schools of Engineering and Physical Science (SEPS) at Career and Placement Center (CPC). Collaborated at B-JET program, a JICA project approved by UGC. This is the only BD Govt approved training program for Bangladeshi graduates seeking career in Japanese high tech industry.

University of Denver, CO, USA

Role: Research Assistant

June 2004 – May 2006 (2 years)

Electro Magnetic Acoustic Transducer (EMAT) Project

Embedded computer control and data acquisition of a non-destructive testing system for high voltage transmission line. Developed for PC/104 SBC module using C/C++ on DiskOnchip™ flash memory. Developed communication interface for the EMAT device using Borland C++ builder 5.0. Programmed PIC16F873/6 series microchip on wireless handset. Integrated Bluetooth and GPS. Designed and assembled PCB proto, solved hardware timing issues. Upgraded onboard boost converter from 200V to 400V. Completed onsite testing at Electricity de France (EdF), Georgia Power, Tri-State Generation & Transmission, Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), New York Power Authority (NYPA), and Alabama Power. Role: Software consultant

May 2003 – September 2003 (6 months)

Installed, configured and administered Windows 2000 server and its network. Worked with windows Active directory (LDAP) and printing services. Automated backup with Windows Shell scripting, WMI and Managed Object Format (MOF) tools. Reference: https://www.bvsd.org

University of Colorado at Boulder, USA

Role: Graduate Student Technology Admin

April 2002 – June 2004 (1 year 7 months)

Administered RedHat 9.0 server. Worked with Network Information Services (NIS) and Network File System (NFS) services. Also administered backup server for CSLR, maintained website for the SLHS department.  At the Assistive Technologies lab, I administered Windows 2000 server and networked satellite stations to supervise usage of Assistive software using WMI tools in Windows 2000/ XP environment.
